Atmospheric Effects
We have a variety of devices that can create different kinds of
smoke/fog/haze effects. Clicking on the links below will either
take
you to the manufacturers website, or open up a PDF manual for that
device
Le Maitre
Neutron XS Hazer
(generates a haze in the air)
G150 Fog Machine
(generates fog/smoke (and LOTS of it!)
LSX Low Smoke Converter
(chills the output of the G150 so it clings to the ground similar to a
Dry Ice effect)
Problems with the LSX? Check the Troubleshooting chart
here.
Show Fogger Pro (Smoke/Fog generator not as much as the G150, but still
very high output if needed)
DMX Interface
for G150 & Neutron Hazer (for controlling the output of these
devices with the lightboard)
Rosco
1500 Fog Machine (Fog/Smoke, not as much output as either
of
the Le Maitre Foggers. It's a lot smaller though.)
Pyrotechnic Effects
Pyropack
Puff
Pots (3)
Sparkel Pots
Slow
Sparkle (1)
Fast Sparkle (1)
Airburst (1-3 circuit device)
Two
Channel Three Circuit Controller
I'm not a big proponent of homemade pyro-effects. You will have
to
discuss any use of pyro in the UT with the Technical Director.
Coming Soon....Projection Information

2 Dukane Transparancy Overhead projectors

Other stuff:
We have a revolving inventory of doodads, geegaws, widgets and what
nots. You would be wise to check with the technical staff as to
the appropriate use/availability of any of these devices. A lot
of them are not terribly sophisticated, and some of them are remarkably
klunky.
2-Strobes can be controlled from the CPT Stage Manager's Console
Lots-of clear rope lights and two controllers that can do chases/flashes
Several-colored rope lights
Many-christmas tree lights. In my estimation, these have no
business in a theatre. These are labor intensive and prone to
failure.
Several-animation wheels. These sit on the front of a 7.5"x7.5"
ERS and when used in conjunction with a pattern can create a
motion
effect. It's really subtle.
Several-color wheels for 7.5"x7.5" ERS
Several-Motorized hoohaws that move transparent film or disk in front
of an instrument or bare lamp. They _can_ be effective but
they are decidedly Low-Tech.
Various-mirrors, fans, fish tanks, aerators for creating water effects.
Again, they can be effective, but they are not sophisticated
devices.
