Welcome

Established in 2004, the Perceptual Neuroscience Laboratory seeks to further our understanding of how deaf and hearing adults perceive language. We also investigate the application of this knowledge to therapies involving sensory aids (i.e., cochlear implants, hearing aids) as well as manual communication strategies.

The PNL uses a wide variety of  behavioral, computational, and neural techniques in our studies of communication. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about our research.
Our research is currently supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Health-National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders (R01-DC04856).
