Projects

Currently, we are investigating several projects focused on understanding the role of perceptual experience in modifying the processes and representation involved in human communication.

Some of the specific projects are testing aspects of expertise with lipreading or speechreading, audiovisual integration, cued speech reception, and the reception of fingerspelled words. We are also investigating the use of the somatosensory system as an input channel for spoken language. We are currently running behavioral studies, ERP, MEG, fMRI, and computational modeling studies.
