About me
Welcome! This site is under continual improvement, and I hope to add some more pages soon.
| I am a graduate student at the University of Kansas in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. My research concentrates on the larger questions of evolution, in particular, macroevolutionary theory. I've been trained primarily as a biologist, but my dissertation work has been on calmoniid trilobites, an extinct group arthropods from the Devonian. Through this paleobiological approach, I hope to incorporate the unique perspective of time which is crucial to studying evolution. I am currently investigating evolutionary radiations with emphasis on the role of abiotic processes in speciation, morphological change, and rates of evolution. Please visit my research page for more detailed information about my research program and projects. |
