News: Professor Frederickson has received the 2007 Lifetime Contribution to Social Equity Award from the Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs of the Virginia Commonwealth University.

News: Professor Frederickson has been invited to give the Donald Stone Lecture at the 2007 Annual Conference of the American Society for Public Administration.

News: Professor Frederickson has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Public Administration and appointed to serve on the Executive Committee of NAPA. He is also the Chair of the Membership Committee.

News: Professor Frederickson has received the 2005 Irvin Youngberg Award in Recognition of Research Achievement iin the Applied Sciences from the University of Kansas.

News: The Public Management Research Association has named their career award for research achievement in public management the H. George Frederickson Award for Career Contributions to Public Management Research. The first receipient of the Frederickson Award is Laurence E. Lynn, Jr., of Texas A & M University

News: From March 1, 2006 to April 15, 2006, Professor Frederickson was in China. He was the guest of Fudan University in Shanghai, where he lectured on public sector ethics as well as contemporary issues in public administration
