I. Group Jobs

Each group member will have a particular job.  Each job is very important to the completion of the task. In order to create your masterpiece, input from all members is needed.

II. Exchange of Knowledge
Upon completion of your individual research, you will meet with your group to discuss what you learned. Share your notes and ideas about your project. You should discuss the roles each group member will perform in the group project. Tasks should be assigned and group discussions recorded.
III. Creating a Masterpiece
Create a plan of action. Decide the style and design of your tessellation as well as the symmetry you plan to use. Collect the necessary materials to construct your work of art. You may use the computer and/or art materials provided. Work as a team during the assembly and planning stages. Record the steps you take in creating your tessellation and any thoughts or questions you may have.
IV. The Unveiling!
Your group has completed your masterpiece. Now is the time to share your hard work and creativity with the rest of the class. You will display your artwork and describe its symmetry and the geometric shapes you used as a foundation for your tessellation. Discuss what how you created your tessellation, what influenced the design (culture, art, history, group interests, etc), and what materials you used. This is also a good opportunity to discuss any problems you faced or questions you have concerning the project. Your group will answer questions about your work. Each member must contribute to the creation and presentation of the completed project.
