Textbook

In addition, I will prepare photocopied materials to hand out to you (at a nominal charge of $2 for the entire semester) and materials that will be available on e-reserves.

Requirements: a Midterm, a Final exam (scheduled for Friday, 16 May, 7:30-10:00 am [!] -- the exam, however, may be optional if everyone in the class is performing satisfactorily), and a term project (see below for suggestions).
Since most of the material you will be responsible for (for the Midterm and Final) will be presented in class, I expect you to attend all sessions.
