| About Project POISE Project POISE is a grant funded by the Department of Education that provides tuition assistance to teachers interested in teaching in a learning center or a special education placement in urban school districts in Wyandotte County. If you have your regular elementary or secondary teaching license, Project POISE is a wonderful opportunity for you to earn your adaptive special education endorsement through the University of Kansas Department of Special Education. If you teach students with exceptionalities in your general education class and/or will teach or want to teach in a Special Education program with a waiver (waiver of full endorsement in Special Education issued by the Kansas State Department of Education and requested by the school district), find out more about Project POISE. This project provides TUITION COSTS ($$), student friendly and solution-focused coursework, and in-class support to assist you in completing your Special Education Adaptive endorsement.
