MSDL

Manchester Scene Description Language

Manchester Visualization Centre, University of Manchester

A language that allows graphics researchers to describe three dimensional scenes in a standard manner. The MSDL language allows polygons, spheres, cylinders, cones, discs, polyhedra, etc to be used as object primitives. Surface properties can be associated with primitives, and lights defined to enable the scene to be illuminated. In addition the designer may optionally include a camera in the scene, to assist later users.
