Named for the English philosopher William of Occam (1300-1349) Originally known as just occam.

A low-level language for concurrent programming, based on CSP and EPL[2]. Designed for the INMOS transputer and vice versa. Expressions are processes, which may be combined in serial and parallel. Processes communicate via named unidirectional channels. There is no operator precedence. Indentation is significant.
