Sather

"Say-ther", named for the Sather Tower at UCB, as opposed to the Eiffel Tower.

An interactive object-oriented language with simple syntax, similar to Eiffel, but non-proprietary and faster. Garbage collection, statically-checked strong typing, multiple inheritance, separate implementation and type inheritance, parameterized classes, dynamic dispatch, iteration abstraction, higher-order routines and iters, exception handling, assertions, preconditions, postconditions, and class invariants.
