After obtaining PhD I worked at the Astrophyscs and Cosmology Department (chair Ya.B. Zel'dovich from 1963 to 1982) of the Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics until 1987.

In January 1987 I joined the Theoretical Department (chair Ya.B. Zel'dovich from 1982 until his death on December 2, 1987) of the Kapitza Institute for Physical Problems .

Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy University of Kansas since 1989.

Main interests:

(*) dynamics and statistics of the supercluster - void network in spatial distribution of galaxies in the universe often referred to as the cosmic web;

(*) nonlinear dynamics of gravitational instability which - the major mechanism for the formation of a large variety of objects in the universe;

(*) geometrical and topological statistical descriptors of the distribution of mass and galaxies in space such as percolation statistics, Minkowski functionals, tessellations.
