This page is here to honor and give thanks to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department. This particular department in Law Enforcement holds a special place in my heart. Without these dedicated, caring, and skilled officers, I, as well as many others, might not have been here today. Yes, I was a victim and the Douglas County Deputy Sheriff Officers are my heroes. I know first hand how difficult their jobs may be. It is because of my experiences that I wish to extend my hand in a heartfelt thank you to all the officers that are out there serving to protect us in our time of need. These officers have nothing but a radio and their instincts guiding them into the face of danger. It is their training and deep concern for others that leads them onward. Without such dedication and care for the lives and safety of others, there would be many lives lost, crime would have no boundary walls and we could not live our life in peace.

To Thank = express gratitude; acknowledge favor or kindness; to express gratitude for a favor "Thank you" is two words that can be whispered softly or POSTED for all to see. This is my way of saying
"Thank You!"

RED		Red is for Valor, Zeal and Fervency
WHITE		White is for Hope, Purity, Cleanliness of life and Rectitude of conduct
BLUE		Blue is for the Color of HEAVEN, for Reverence of GOD, Loyalty, Sincerity, Justice and Truth

 FOR THOSE WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US:

Their flesh may be gone from the world as we know it, 
but we shall always remember their spirit.
